About Us

Satchell & Browne is a small woodworking company, passionate about making and restoring all things wooden. Using traditional techniques and almost exclusively hand tools, because things are better, more unique and full of character when made to order, without large automation.

Oakley has honed his passion and craftsmanship in sheds, gardens and even utility rooms over the the years, learning how to work wood by hand, helped along the way with an unhealthy obsession with vintage hand tools and lots of learning from master craftsmen such a Paul Sellers, Scott Bennet, Ben Crowe and many others. Now with his own small workshop in rural Lancashire, Satchell & Browne are passionate about create useful and long lasting products and furniture or restoring furniture and wooden items, with proper techniques true to the piece.
